Video
I still don't see a link for Sarah's video in the audio visual section and the only links posted in the "link" section are mine. Please get these up as soon as possible. It would suck to loose points on something that simple. Also, for some reason there is a link to our big bang page above our home page heading. If anyone can figure out how to remove that without deleting everything please do it. I'm not all that stoked that this stuff isn't done a few hours before presenting.

Hurricane movie
Hi Sarah,
Can you be sure to add an active link to your movie along with a brief description to the audio video page? That will ensure that all of our videos are found in one location on the site, making it easier for our evaluators to navigate through everything.
Thanks,
john

Big Bang
After going over the checklist for our website it looks like we have the majority of everything done. We have to have the google map assignments as well as the ePals write up which I don't even remember what those were. If anyone has a clue let me know.
I also made a page called "Our Expectations," which will be our "Big Bang" page. Basically we'll talk about what we've accomplished and how it has improved our teaching strategies. Feel free to add anything. I'm going to bed I will pick this up in the morning. Goodnight!

links
i created a links page to place all of the websites we used for lessons. Copy and paste them under mine and create a link to each one. Please make sure they actually go somewhere and not to a dead link.

Linksq
Sarah your first national geographic link doesn't go to an actual webpage I keep on getting a blank page. It's on the safety tips.
You guys might have noticed that for the images I organized it so when you click on the title of the website it takes you to the webpage. I think it looks better, so I hope that was okay. Also I think we should do the same thing for our lesson plans. Title your lesson plans and then link them to your taskstream URL. If you don't want to do that let me know. Or I can change all of them if you want me to :)
Did you guys want to meet tomorrow before class, just so we're all in front of the website looking at the same thing and making sure it all looks good? Let me know Anytime before 5pm I am available.

reminder
Please remember to put your videos in the audio visual page under mine. Keep the formatting the same. Write a brief description and create a link to your video below it. The podcast is already posted on a sub-page within the audio video page. Remember to keep formatting the same throughout the entire website. I changed mine to match Sarah's updates. It should be consistent the whole way through now.

Website
Hey all!
I will be finishing up my part of the website Sunday and Monday. Sorry I've been super busy with work and finals stuff. But I will get it done, no worries! We should meet at 4 on Monday, if you guys can, to make sure we have all of the requirements done for the website.

Podcast
I uploaded the podcast to a subpage under audio visual. I have my video posted there and would recommend that we all post our videos there to keep it uniformed. I think I'm done posting all of my stuff. I'm still not sure what the big bang can be. I'm not going to be able to work on this in person over the weekend, I have way too much to finish for my special education courses. I'll probably be at the library most of the weekend, it if anyone needs to meet call me (269-267-8916) and we can meet at Waldo or Sangren.

Pages
I created a page for my lessons under the Weather History sidebar tab. It has brief descriptions of my lessons and links to follow for viewing. I also added some MI standards to the standards doc. They are technology standards, I'm not sure if we need all the standards from our lessons included here too. I figure those are already in the lessons, so it seemed redundant to have them all listed again.

Audio visual
I put an audio visual page in as a place to put all of our movies and the collaborative podcast. Let me know if it's ok. If so, add you videos by creating a link to the youtube URL and write a brief description like mine.

John

Presentation
Could someone post the presentation time on here... and will it be held in the lab or somewhere else? Let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks John for doing that! I hope it wasn't too much trouble. This week we should work on finishing up our final product for the website. Maybe meeting would be a good idea too if we need to. We could even go to Bernhard right before our presentation next week to tie up loose ends if needed. Let's also keep in touch this week and weekend about what we think of the website as we finish it. Let each group member know how their part of the website looks. Have a good last week of classes :)

Podcast
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that I submitted the actual podcast to Sharon today. It sounded good and it's in the right format. I can email you both copies if you want. I can probably post it on here as well.

Podcast
Hi everyone,
I saw that our podcast grade was 50 out of 100 due to some strange issues.
1. There were missing voice tracks (these were all there when I mixed the track down, not sure what happened).
2. The submitted file was a WAV file rather than an MP3. When I looked at bullet 7 under the module it said be sure to convert it to a WAV file before submitting. At the bottom of the page it says convert to MP3. This is something I see as both my fault for not reading below and the instructor (assignment creator's) fault for having misleading information. Further, when I attempt to convert it to an mp3 it tells me that I need some additional library available from Audacity. If you have any idea what this is let me know.
I contacted Sharon earlier this week, but haven't heard back... I'm not sure why. Are we supposed to send emails to her Western account or some other form? Anyhow, my email asked if we could resubmit the file again. Like I said, it's perfect on my computer so I'm not sure what happened during mix-down.
Sorry for the mix up, hopefully someone will actually contact me and explain these issues with me, rather than blow off my attempt at communication.

hey guys
I just wanted to let you guys know that I will not be in class on Monday. My boyfriend's stepfather passed away on Thursday morning and the funeral is on Monday. I am going to attempt to figure out how to send an email with my clip for the podcast. I am sorry for not being there but my place right now is to be there for my boyfriend and his family during this time. I will email Sharon and let her know I will not be in class due to this reason.

Hi guys.
It seems that every time I attempt to open our blog I am redirected and a virus is blocked by my computer. Not sure how it got there, but be careful. We can see what can be done about this when we get back on Monday.

Map
Let me know if the map has been uploaded correctly. I followed the steps on the assignment listing, but have yet to hear anything about it from anyone. At least I haven't seen a grade as of yet. I would assume that it would be communicated to us if there is something wrong with it, since communication is supposed to be a big part of this project.

Our students will communicate with ot...
Our students will communicate with other students in Mexico. We will be talking to other fifth graders. As a class, we will take the first week and learn about Mexico and its culture. The second week of the lesson we will begin talking to the other students located in Mexico.
The students will ask the following questions;
'How often does it rain?'
'What type of storms do you have?'
'What time does it get dark outside?'
'What is the typical forecast?'
Students will also be sharing back and forth about their current weather conditions, what the seasons are like, and update about what is going on in their local area. The students will do a variety of different activities with the information that they get from their Epals. We will have a class discussion so that students can get a larger picture on all the students, journal after every time we do Epals, do a creative project using the information they get, and as a class we will create a compare and contrast weather chart.
