Our students will communicate with other students in Mexico. We will be talking to other fifth graders. As a class, we will take the first week and learn about Mexico and its culture. The second week of the lesson we will begin talking to the other students located in Mexico.
The students will ask the following questions;
'How often does it rain?'
'What type of storms do you have?'
'What time does it get dark outside?'
'What is the typical forecast?'
Students will also be sharing back and forth about their current weather conditions, what the seasons are like, and update about what is going on in their local area. The students will do a variety of different activities with the information that they get from their Epals. We will have a class discussion so that students can get a larger picture on all the students, journal after every time we do Epals, do a creative project using the information they get, and as a class we will create a compare and contrast weather chart.
